Pinafore Dress

10 Oct

This is one of my favourite projects so far, simply because of how much it means to me.

Five years ago, my husband and I got married. My dress was made from material I bought on a holiday in China, and we had some of our wedding photos taken in the botanic gardens when the daffodils were in bloom.

Fast forward to October 2011. Our daughter was 10 months old and we were booked in to do our first professional family photos in the same location as our wedding photo above. I had some leftover material from my wedding dress so on the morning of our photoshoot, I quickly made a wee pinafore dress for my daughter to wear. I used a pattern I bought from Spotlight (pattern number to come), and she looked absolutely adorable in it.

Thanks to Kimberley Cheyne for taking some amazing photos of our family that day. We will treasure these photos forever.
